Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician/ Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively within a pharmacy environment.

Responsibilities

Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions while adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements. Provide excellent patient care by answering queries regarding medications, usage, and potential side effects. Collaborate with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure optimal medication management for patients. Maintain accurate records of medication dispensed and ensure proper storage conditions for pharmaceuticals. Assist in inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications as needed. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the pharmacy setting. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in pharmacy practices.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician/ Pharmacy Dispenser or in a similar role is preferred. A valid qualification as a Pharmacy Technician is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong understanding of medication administration processes and patient care principles. Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. Proficient in using pharmacy software systems for dispensing and record keeping. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in pharmacy practice.
