Overview

As a

Pharmacy Dispenser

, you will support the pharmacist in delivering efficient, safe, and patient-focused dispensing services. Your role is vital in ensuring accurate medication supply, excellent customer service, and smooth pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities1. Dispensing & Prescription Handling

Accurately assemble and label prescribed medications under pharmacist supervision. Process NHS/private prescriptions using pharmacy software. Manage stock: order, receive, and store medicines.

2. Customer Service

Assist patients with prescription queries, OTC product recommendations, and signposting to the pharmacist when needed. Handle payments, manage collection/delivery logs, and resolve minor complaints.

3. Administrative Duties

Maintain patient records (confidentiality/GDPR compliant). Support repeat prescription systems and NHS services such as flu vaccinations, NMS, blood pressure check and Pharmacy First.

4. Compliance & Safety

Follow SOPs, legal requirements (GPhC standards), and infection control measures. Report dispensing errors/near misses promptly.

Qualifications:

NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy. Qualified

Experience:

Previous pharmacy/healthcare retail experience is mandatory.

Desirable

? Experience with NHS prescription workflows.
? Knowledge of common medical conditions/OTC products.

Working Conditions

Physical:

Standing for long periods, handling stock.

Team:

Works alongside pharmacists, technicians, and counter staff.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to 13.20 per hour

Expected hours: 18.75 per week
