We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications while providing exceptional patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of medication administration and the ability to work collaboratively within a pharmacy environment.
Duties
Accurately dispense prescribed medications to patients, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
Provide excellent patient care by answering queries regarding medications, side effects, and proper usage.
Assist in the preparation and packaging of medications, including compounding where necessary.
Maintain accurate records of medication dispensation and inventory management.
Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes.
Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance knowledge of pharmacy practices.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of medication administration and patient care principles.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and healthcare professionals effectively.
A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in pharmacy practice.
