Job Opportunity: Dispenser / Dispensing Assistant

Our Ringwood site is a focused, non-customer-facing pharmacy that supplies to patients throughout England and care homes across Hampshire & Dorset. What You'll Be Doing

Act as the first point of contact for care homes, customers, GP surgeries, nurses, and care leads via phone and email.

Deliver a high standard of customer service, responding to enquiries professionally, empathetically, and efficiently.

Receive, log, and manage medication orders from care homes and prescribing teams

Liaise with GP surgeries to request prescriptions, manage prescription queries, and proactively chase outstanding or missing items.

Coordinate prescription flow to ensure smooth, continuous workflow across the dispensing team.

Monitor and follow up on shortfall prescriptions to prevent disruption to patient medication.

Communicate clearly with pharmacists and colleagues to resolve issues and ensure timely supply.

Accurately support the dispensing and processing of medications in line with pharmacy procedures.

Help manage inboxes, call queues, and task prioritisation to ensure queries are handled within agreed timeframes.

Support inventory awareness, workflow organisation, and maintenance of pharmacy and regulatory standards.

Working Hours

Full-time: 40 hours/week

Shift: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

(30-minute unpaid break)
