Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients. As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will be responsible for accurately preparing and dispensing medications while providing exceptional service to our patients.

Responsibilities

Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Provide information and guidance to patients regarding their medications, including dosage, administration, and potential side effects. Assist in managing inventory levels of medications and supplies, ensuring that stock is maintained and organised. Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care. Maintain accurate records of medication dispensation and patient interactions. Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in pharmacy practice.

Skills

Strong background in patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards patients' needs. Experience as a Pharmacy dispenser is highly desirable, with knowledge of pharmacy operations. Proficiency in medication administration, including understanding various forms of medication (tablets, liquids, injections). Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and healthcare professionals alike. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in pharmacy practice.
