We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting pharmacy operations by accurately dispensing medications and providing excellent patient care. Duties
Accurately dispense prescribed medications in accordance with pharmacy protocols and legal requirements
Assist with medication administration under supervision, ensuring correct dosage and patient instructions
Provide compassionate patient care by answering queries and offering medication guidance
Maintain precise records of dispensed medicines and update patient files accordingly
Manage stock levels, including ordering, receiving, and organising pharmaceutical supplies
Ensure the pharmacy environment complies with health and safety regulations
Support the pharmacy team with administrative tasks such as processing prescriptions and managing documentation
Qualifications
Prior experience as a pharmacy technician or dispenser is highly desirable, (NVQ Level 2 and or 3).
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care practices
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to minimise errors
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
OTC sales and cashier functions are a important part.
Good general house keeping skills.
Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
Able to do MDS/Packs/ Trays is advantageous.
Supervisor experience is also advantageous.
