We are seeking a dedicated, reliable, friendly and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our small healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in accurately dispensing medications, supporting patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of pharmacy services. Applicants should possess a strong commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and professional development.

Duties

Accurately dispense prescribed medications in accordance with doctor's instructions and pharmacy protocols. Assist pharmacists in managing stock levels, including ordering and inventory control . Maintain detailed records of dispensed medicines and patient interactions in accordance with legal requirements . Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to health and safety regulations at all times . Support patient care initiatives by offering friendly and professional assistance. Answering queries in person and over the phone in a professional manner. Working on the counter, serving customers and handling queries. Maintaining good housekeeping standards in the pharmacy, ensuring the shop and dispensary are clean, tidy and well presented.

Skills

Prior experience as a pharmacy dispenser or in a similar role is highly desirable. Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy software systems. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to minimise dispensing errors Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals. Ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining accuracy and professionalism. Commitment to patient confidentiality and ethical standards within healthcare settings. Confident working over the counter with the public. Strong sense of cleanliness and organisation, with good house keeping skills. Friendly, approachable and able to work as part of a smal team. Reliable and punctual.
