Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser or technician to join our team in Shettleston Health Centre Pharmacy. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, supporting patient care, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the pharmacy. Duties

Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy protocols Assist pharmacists in preparing and organising medication orders for patients Provide information to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and storage instructions Support medication administration processes where applicable, ensuring compliance with safety standards Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and patient interactions Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to health and safety regulations Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and placing orders as necessary Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient care and medication management

Skills

Proven pharmacy technician experience or relevant recognised dispensing qualification Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail Excellent communication skills, capable of providing clear guidance to patients and team members Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining accuracy Compassionate approach with a focus on patient care and support Familiarity with PMR software is desirable but not essential
