Responsibilities

Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines. Assist in medication administration, providing clear instructions to patients regarding their prescriptions. Maintain accurate records of medication dispensed and manage inventory levels effectively. Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to optimise patient care and medication management. Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy. Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards. Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with industry practices and regulations.

Requirements

Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar role is essential. Strong knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care practices. Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately under pressure. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating initiative when required. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in all aspects of work.
