Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safe and effective distribution of medications to patients. You will work closely with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to provide excellent patient care, ensuring that all medication administration is carried out accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions while adhering to legal and regulatory requirements. Assist in the preparation of medication, including counting, measuring, and mixing as necessary. Provide exceptional patient care by answering queries regarding medications and offering guidance on proper usage. Maintain accurate records of medication dispensed and ensure compliance with pharmacy policies. Collaborate with pharmacists to manage inventory levels, ensuring that stock is replenished as needed. Assist in the training and supervision of pharmacy technicians and support staff when required. Uphold cleanliness and organisation within the pharmacy environment to promote safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role is highly desirable. Strong understanding of medication administration processes and patient care principles. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in dispensing medications. Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals alike. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. A valid certification or qualification in pharmacy dispensing is preferred but not mandatory.
