Duties

Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Provide information and guidance to patients regarding their medications, including proper usage and potential side effects. Assist in the preparation of medication orders and manage inventory levels of pharmaceuticals. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation related to medication dispensing. Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and pharmacists to ensure optimal patient care. Uphold cleanliness and organisation within the pharmacy environment, adhering to health and safety standards. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

Must be a qualified Pharmacy Dispenser. Strong understanding of medication administration and patient care principles. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with patients and healthcare professionals. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative when required. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in pharmacy practice.
