We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy practices, with a focus on patient care and medication administration. As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that patients receive their medications accurately and efficiently, while also providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions while adhering to all safety and regulatory guidelines. Assist in the preparation and packaging of medications for distribution. Provide information to patients regarding their medications, including usage, side effects, and storage requirements. Maintain accurate records of medication dispensation and inventory management. Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care. Conduct medication administration under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist when required. Uphold cleanliness and organisation within the pharmacy environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of medication administration practices and patient care principles. Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals alike. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in pharmacy practice. Relevant qualifications or certifications in pharmacy dispensing are preferred but not mandatory.
