Responsibilities

Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with healthcare regulations and pharmacy protocols Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, packaging, and labelling Provide excellent patient care by answering medication-related enquiries and offering guidance on medication usage Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and inventory levels Support the administration of medications under supervision, ensuring compliance with safety standards Ensure the pharmacy environment remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely medication delivery and patient satisfaction

Skills

Prior experience as a pharmacy Dispenser or in a similar role is highly desirable NVQ2 in Dispensing Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy software systems Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare staff Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining accuracy Compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating professionalism and confidentiality at all times
