Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our growing distance selling pharmacy team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a pharmacy environment.

Duties

Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines. Provide exceptional patient care by answering queries regarding medication usage, side effects, and storage requirements. Assist pharmacists in the preparation and administration of medications, including compounding where necessary. Maintain accurate records of medication dispensation and inventory management. Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes through effective medication management. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with pharmacy practices.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role is highly desirable. Strong understanding of medication administration processes and patient care principles. Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals alike. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in pharmacy practice. Relevant qualifications or certifications in pharmacy practice are an advantage but not essential.
