Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications to patients. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively within a pharmacy setting. The Pharmacy Dispenser will be responsible for accurately preparing and dispensing prescribed medications, providing excellent customer service, and supporting the pharmacy team in daily operations.

Duties

Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and professional standards. Provide patient care by answering queries regarding medication usage, side effects, and storage instructions. Assist in medication administration under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Maintain accurate records of prescriptions dispensed and manage inventory levels of pharmaceutical products. Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the pharmacy workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations. Participate in training and development activities to enhance knowledge of pharmaceutical practices.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role is essential Strong understanding of medication administration processes and patient care principles. Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and team members. Proficient in using pharmacy management software and technology. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions.
