Pharmacy experience is essential for this role. You will need to have at least a Level 2 pharmacy qualification in dispensing or above.
We are a well established independent pharmacy seeking a checking technician to come and join our excellent and friendly team.
The position is a 12 month contract and comprising of full time hours of 40 hours a week. A permanent contract may be offered based on performance.
If you are not an already qualified checking technician then you will be undertaking an accuracy checking course . This programme will equip learners with the clinical knowledge, confidence, practical and professional skills to practise as pharmacy checking dispensers and technicians.
Your day to day responsibilities will include; checking prescriptions, unpacking and putting away orders, the preparation of prescriptions, working with and providing support to the Pharmacists, assisting the team to achieve business goals and aspirations, providing a high quality customer experience as, assisting with care home services, providing administration support and being able to work with confidential information and follow set processes.
What we need from you
At least a Level 2 pharmacy qualification in dispensing or above.
Be able to work as part of a team and take your own initiative when required.
The ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
Attention to detail
A passion for learning, a willingness to be trained and continuously professionally develop.
IT skills and using Email.
A professional manner and good quality written and verbal English language skills.

As well as being able to work in the dispensary, you will build relationships with GP surgeries and customers from all walks of life and meet their unique healthcare needs.
The successful applicant should show a commitment to increasing the business by way of delivering a high standard of Customer Service, Patient Sign Ups and developing Pharmacy Sales.
Due to the nature of the industry, you will need to provide a recent Enhanced DBS disclosure. This will be at our expense.
