Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring that all prescriptions are accurately filled and that patients receive the highest level of care. You will work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to support patient needs and contribute to a positive healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions while adhering to legal and regulatory requirements. Provide excellent patient care by answering queries regarding medication usage, side effects, and storage. Assist in the management of inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storing pharmaceutical supplies. Maintain accurate records of medication dispensed and ensure compliance with pharmacy policies. Support the pharmacy team in medication administration processes and patient consultations. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes through effective medication management. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge within the pharmacy sector.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser/Technician or in a similar role is essential. Strong understanding of medication administration protocols and patient care principles. Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals alike. Proficient in using pharmacy management software and technology. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards within the pharmacy practice.
