Handpost Pharmacy , 222 Stow Hill, Newport, NP20 4HA

A great opportunity has arisen for a Pharmacy Dispenser/ Technician to join our team in a busy, modern pharmacy in the Handpost area of Newport. This is a part time position based on 27 hours per week on a permanent basis (excluding bank holidays). As a Dispenser/ Technician you will be an important member of the team, giving great service to customers and helping to create a loyal customer base that will return time and time again. The ideal candidate will be:

Friendly and professional, able to meet the demands expected in a busy community pharmacy. Be familiar with Pharmacy SOPs. Be flexible in relation to cover annual leave. Hold at least NVQ level 2 or equivalent in Pharmacy Services. Relevant Dispensing assistant or Dispensary Technician qualification (although training will be provided to suitable candidate) 5 GCSEs (Including English & Maths A-C) or equivalent would be preferred for progression but not essential.
This role includes serving customers and giving advice, labeling prescriptions and dispensing medications, preparation of medication trays and stock management. Possible provision of advanced pharmacy services, cash handling, maintaining cleanliness of pharmacy, date checking, recording patient interventions, sign posting and taking part in health promotions.

Rate of pay is negotiable depending on experience.
