We are searching for an experienced pharmacy dispenser/counter assistant to join our small, but growing and close knit independent community pharmacy team. Someone who is both passionate and caring. We are a busy and vibrant community pharmacy with close links to our main surgery. Our main focus is to give excellent customer service, to make our customers lives as easy as possible with real care. Some of our customers are amongst the most vulnerable in the community, and the job will provide an opportunity to genuinely make a real difference in many peoples lives on a daily basis, and be a true asset to caring for the community.
Our ideal candidate must be hard working, committed, trustworthy, have great communication and greeting skills, and must be able to build rapport and a relationship with our patients. You must be a team player and be able to be empathetic when needed, with great customer service skills. Duties include all those involved in the dispensing process and supporting the pharmacist, as well as helping on the counter when required. Great customer care and service, as well as the ability to develop close relationships with our fellow healthcare colleagues is a must.
Training can be provided, but ideally you must have a minimum of an NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services or Accredited equivalent qualification, and experience of working in a customer focused environment.
Wages are highly competitive and above most of our competitors.
Hours are 40 hours/week, which may include working one Saturday a month (half day).
