Job Summary

The Dispensing Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the dispensing process within a pharmacy setting. This position involves assisting pharmacists and other healthcare professionals in ensuring that medications are accurately prepared and dispensed to patients. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, effective communication abilities, and a keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications under the supervision of a qualified pharmacist. Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and ensuring a positive experience. Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and medication inventory. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols. Utilise IT systems for managing prescriptions, stock levels, and patient information. Support leadership initiatives by training new staff members and sharing best practices. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and organisational policies.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare environment is preferred but not essential. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues. Basic IT skills for managing electronic records and inventory systems. Demonstrated leadership qualities, with a willingness to take initiative and support team development. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Hours

Monday 9AM-6PM Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday 2PM-6PM Every second Saturday 9AM-5PM Additional Hours to cover holidays available
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 23.5 per week
