Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented pharmacy assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the pharmacy operations by assisting with the supply and advice medication of prescription and over the counter medication as well as dispensing, providing excellent patient care, and ensuring compliance with health regulations. The ideal candidate will have a background in pharmacy or healthcare and a passion for helping others. The position will be working between our Methil and Leven branches to support both teams.

Responsibilities

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently. Work on the front counter to support the safe supply and advice on other the counter medication Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and patient information. Ensure the pharmacy is well-stocked with necessary medications and supplies. Organise and manage inventory, including checking expiry dates on medications. Assist in the administration of medications as directed by the pharmacist. Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Skills

Previous experience as a pharmacy healthcare assistant/dispenser is highly desirable. Strong patient care skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. Familiarity with pharmacy software systems is an advantage.
