Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy operations, ensuring that patients receive their medications safely and efficiently. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare environment.

Duties

Assist pharmacist on the counter and handing out medications accurately. Manage inventory by restocking shelves and ensuring that all medications are stored correctly. Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and assisting with prescription orders. Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient information. Support the pharmacy team in administrative tasks, including filing and data entry. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the pharmacy setting. Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of medication administration and pharmacy practices.

Qualifications

Previous experience in retail or in a similar role is advantageous. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on patient care. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards within healthcare. Basic computer skills for managing pharmacy software and documentation.

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 34 per week
