What is the role about?



The Pharmacy Lead will work with and manage our network of Pharmacies who provide integrated health services on behalf of Reed Wellbeing.

The role will involve proactively establishing relationships with the Local Pharmaceutical Committee (LPC), Pharmacists, and other local stakeholders within the health sector to promote an awareness and understanding of our pharmacy led preventative health services.

The role will be responsible for engaging directly with the Pharmacies within our service delivery areas supporting them to identify eligible Participants for self-referral to services.

This is a locally based role within, Kensington, Westminster and Chelsea, with expectation of significant travel visiting pharmacy partners, so the successful candidate must be based locally to this area and happy to travel as required.



Just some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:



Stakeholder Engagement & Management



The Pharmacy Lead will engage and work with Partnership Manager colleagues, Local Pharmaceutical Committee, Pharmacists and their Stop Smoking Practitioners to ensure a steady flow of referrals to the service, a quality service is delivered and that results are accurately reported upon.

Identifies and develops relationships with potential referral organisations building effective referral routes and developing the existing referral pathway into pharmacy led services. Schedule regular face-to-face and telephone contact with each Pharmacy, prioritising as appropriate, ensuring pharmacies are engaged, proactively promoting our services and meeting performance expectations. Acts as the key contact for Pharmacies, visiting locations to build and maintain close relationships with pharmacy teams delivering frontline services. Ensures that pharmacy staff are suitably qualified to deliver the services and keep up to date with smoking cessation practices, techniques and developments. You will have a sound knowledge of technology to provide pharmacy staff with database support and training. Ensure that all pharmacy participants interventions are recorded on the CRM to facilitate timely payments for pharmacy delivered services and visibility of performance. Support existing and newly trained pharmacy advisors in the everyday provision of the service through regular communication, including face to face visits, telephone contact and email. Ensure all pharmacies have access to up to date and fully functional equipment, resources and materials. Conduct quarterly performance reviews with Pharmacies, recognise strong performance, challenge any underperformance and set corrective action. Conduct quarterly observations and monthly file checks, provide feedback and agree improvement plans where appropriate. Collate qualitative pharmacy information for inclusion in the quarterly commissioner reports

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with:



Required Knowledge & Skills Attainments:



Experience or keen interest in smoking cessation, behaviour change, health improvement and/or healthcare. Excellent communication skills - written and verbal. Demonstrable experience of building relationships with external stakeholders Familiarity and experience with a range of computer software including Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook. Effective time management and good time keeping. Experience of working in a target driven environment, including successful achievement. Flexible and comfortable in a fast, changing environment. Ability to travel between pharmacy locations and carry required equipment e.g. laptop, resources (a trolley can be provided).

Essential Criteria:



Able to work independently i.e. used to working in autonomous roles and is a self-starter. Strong interpersonal and stakeholder relationship skills. Ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to work with a wide variety of people (Director, senior manager, front line staff). Ability to be flexible and adapt to working with organisations with different working cultures. Resilient and persistent. Excellent communicator verbally and in writing. High standard of communication, presentational and interpersonal skills. Well organised and attentive to detail.

Desirable Attainments:



A directly relevant qualification to Smoking Cessation - NCSCT Smoking Cessation Practitioner Certificate including the specialist mental health and smoking in pregnancy awards, or be willing to complete this in the role. Knowledge of the boroughs of Westminster and Kensington & Chelsea Experience of working on public service provision. Experience of working on voluntary participation services. Experience of working with stakeholders in public health and/or primary care. Fluency in more than one language
