About The Role

Pharmacy Support Worker

Salary - 24,667

Hours - 37.5 hours per week. The Pharmacy team work a 2 week rolling rota - the shifts vary weekly, and you will work alternate weekends. Hours fall between 07:30 - 17:30.

Here at Practice Plus Group, we are looking for a pharmacy support worker to join the team at HMP Lindholme, a busy Category C prison in Doncaster, housing around 900 men.

Joining the Pharmacy team, you will:

Play a key role in pharmacy - second checking medication before dispensing to patients on medication rounds Support the onsite Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Manager, as well as the wider healthcare team Contribute to medicine reconciliation, managing stock medicines and transportation of medicines Provide support to ensure a safe and secure medicines management service, following policies, procedures and standard operating procedures Work in the medication hatches on the wings

What do we need from you:

No experience is necessary - we are looking for someone with a keen interest in Pharmacy, and keen to pursue a career in Pharmacy and Healthcare An NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Dispensing would be a bonus, but isn't essential Ideally have medicines handling experience, although this isn't essential Be a hard worker, diligent, with a high attention to detail
