Are you organised, practical, and keen to contribute to the safe production of life-saving medicines? We're looking for a motivated individual to join our Quality Assurance (QA) team supporting the manufacture of sterile medicines for some of our most vulnerable patients by ensuring the appropriate monitoring and defect reporting is carried out.

You'll work closely with our 5 pharmacy manufacturing services, producing over 150,000 doses a year. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable skills in a supportive, dynamic environment.
Part-time hours will be considered. All Pharmacy Support Workers take part in the Saturday morning, Bank Holiday, and extended hours rota.

We believe that using technology wisely shows strong time management and commitment to innovation. However, personalizing your recruitment application to highlight your unique skills and experiences is crucial. Relying too heavily on generic, AI-generated content instead of drawing from your own strengths and accomplishments may lead to your application being rejected if multiple candidates present identical or similar information.
At UHS we're committed to providing a flexible working environment where possible. Whether you are balancing family, study, or your wellbeing with your career, we want to support you so you can help our patients.
At UHS, we proudly champion individuality, recognizing that outstanding care is only possible with a diverse, inclusive team. We're committed to creating an anti-racist, anti-discriminatory environment where everyone feels valued, safe, and empowered to make a meaningful impact in our communities. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences to join us in building a healthcare community where everyone can belong, thrive, and contribute.
This post is based at Adanac Aseptic Hub, our newly built Aseptic Unit and QC lab and will also involve working at the nearby Southampton General Hospital on a rota basis.
The successful candidate will carry out a mix of laboratory and cleanroom tasks, including organising microbiological monitoring samples, reading, interpreting and recording results into our database. They'll also help inspect and quality check unlicensed 'specials' medicines, ensuring they meet the required standards before release.
