Location:

Ammanford, Wales (SA18)

Hours:

37 hours per week, no weekends or bank holidays

Salary:

15.50-16.50 per hour (depending on experience)

We're looking for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our multidisciplinary team and take a lead in medicines optimisation and patient safety.

About the Role



This is a varied, hands-on role suited to a confident, organised pharmacy technician with experience in primary care or community pharmacy. The successful candidate will support our clinicians with high-quality medicines management and patient-facing clinics, ensuring safe, efficient and evidence-based prescribing.

You'll be involved in a wide range of clinical and administrative activities, including:

Running new patient medication and DOAC clinics Conducting care home medication reviews Managing medicines reconciliation from hospital letters and discharges Processing repeat prescription reauthorisations where appropriate Handling pharmaceutical and shared-care monitoring queries Supporting HRT review forms and acute medication requests Assisting with medication audits and QI projects Providing training and support to trainee pharmacists and prescription clerks Opportunity to train in phlebotomy for the right candidate

What We're Looking For



Qualified and registered Pharmacy Technician (GPhC) Accuracy Checking qualification (ACT) desirable Primary care, community pharmacy or cluster experience Strong attention to detail, excellent communication and problem-solving skills Confident working independently and within a team Comfortable managing competing priorities and using clinical systems
