Job Summary:
Bolt Pharmacy is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice. This apprenticeship is designed to provide hands-on experience in digital pharmacy operations, including dispensing, order management, customer care, and compliance, while supporting your journey toward becoming a qualified pharmacy technician.
Responsibilities:
Support digital dispensing and fulfillment of prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Assist with reviewing prescription orders, checking for accuracy, drug interactions, and potential contraindications.
Learn to handle pharmacy management platforms, including digital patient profiles, order tracking, and secure data entry.
Communicate professionally with patients via phone, email, or chat to answer queries, process orders, and provide medication information and guidance.
Assist with inventory management, including checking of stock levels, and coordination with partner warehouses for restocking.
Understand and uphold data privacy and patient confidentiality, adhering to all relevant regulations and Bolt Pharmacy protocols.
Complete all required apprenticeship training modules and participate actively in learning and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
Genuine interest in pharmacy, healthcare, and digital innovations in patient care.
Strong IT literacy and ability to work confidently with web-based platforms.
Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Able to work independently and as part of a remote team.
Commitment to completing all apprenticeship learning and assessment activities.
GCSEs (or equivalent), preferably including Maths, English, and Science.
