An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join a dynamic pharmacy team within a modern, high-performing hospital setting. This full-time position offers the chance to contribute directly to patient care across inpatient, day case, and outpatient services.
Working alongside a supportive team that includes a Lead Pharmacist, Clinical Pharmacist, and Trainee Pharmacy Technician, you will play a central role in delivering safe, effective, and patient-focused pharmacy services. The role encompasses both ward and dispensary duties and offers great scope for professional development and involvement in continuous service improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support for all aspects of the medicines management process, including dispensing, stock control, and ordering.
Contribute to clinical audits, service reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
Support governance and risk management activities related to pharmacy services.
Liaise effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure timely and safe provision of medications.
Participate in training and mentoring initiatives for junior staff or students.
Uphold best practices in pharmacy service delivery and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
What We're Looking For
Qualified Pharmacy Technician with relevant registration
Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is desirable
Excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of medicines safety
Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a close-knit team
Willingness to contribute to service development and improvement initiatives
A proactive, professional, and patient-focused approach
