You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of exceptional patient care by assisting with the safe and effective preparation, dispensing, and management of medicines. Key Responsibilities
Support pharmacists in the accurate preparation and dispensing of prescription and over-the-counter medications
Deliver excellent patient care by answering queries and providing clear advice on medication use and general health matters
Maintain precise and confidential patient records, ensuring full compliance with data protection and GPhC requirements
Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, checking, and safe storage of medicines and supplies
Ensure all pharmacy activities comply with health and safety standards, as well as company and regulatory policies
Participate in the delivery of NHS and private pharmacy services
Work collaboratively with pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, and wider healthcare teams to optimise patient outcomes
Support training and mentoring of new staff as required
Experience and Qualifications
GPhC registration as a Pharmacy Technician is required
(or immediate eligibility for registration)
Previous experience in a community, hospital, or primary care pharmacy is preferred
Good understanding of pharmacy procedures, medication administration, and pharmaceutical terminology
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-focused approach
Strong organisational skills and keen attention to detail
Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
