REMOTE

however, if candidates have no experience in primary care then full training will be provided at our training hub in

Bradford, West Yorkshire

Upon successful completion of training the role is

fully remote

Duties:

Provide independent information to patients regarding medicines and Prescribing changes, initiating further support from other healthcare professionals where appropriate. To support the achievement of the practices prescribing Quality and Outcomes Framework targets, and Local Enhanced Services as appropriate. Working with the practice pharmacists and admin managers to contribute to the review and development of repeat prescribing protocols /Standard Operating Procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of repeat prescribing systems. To support the Practice Based Clinical Pharmacists to provide medication review. To take a proactive approach to the safe handling of prescriptions, including assessment of risk and making recommendations for improvement. To respond to medication queries from patients and staff in a professional manner referring to the appropriate GP in accordance with practice protocols. To assist in the safe management of medications within the practice, including supporting submission of claims for personally administered drugs as required.

Responsibilities:

Be responsible for the organisation, planning and of own workload to meet deadlines. Taking messages and passing on information as appropriate. Computer data entry/data allocation and collation, processing and recording information in accordance with practice procedures. Initiating contact with and responding to requests from patients, other team members and associated healthcare professionals and providers. Work in accordance with all governance and internal systems relating to (but not limited to) the management of clinical data and systems. Helping to keep all practice areas tidy and free from obstructions and clutter. Helping to maintain a positive, patient focused culture. Helping to maintain a positive, supportive culture across the whole of the practice team. Any other duties commensurate with this position.

Experience:

Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred but not required.

Familiarity with medication administration and patient care Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling medications Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of the GP Practice. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting pharmacists in dispensing medications, preparing prescriptions, and providing excellent customer service to patients.
