About the role:



TVS are working as part of Team Leidos, which is a team of defence and logistics specialists, supporting a major contract providing an end-to-end supply chain service delivering commodity and inventory savings to the UK Ministry of Defence.

We are now recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician working for TVS at the Team Leidos offices at Emersons Green in Bristol as part of a vibrant and dynamic team, committed to transforming the way the MOD works.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:



To advise on the technical qualities and characteristics of pharmaceutical products

Sourcing new items and providing technical information in support of procurement

Identifying where generic switching is appropriate and available for branded lines

Identifying and advising on alternatives for out of stock and MCS items

Sourcing and data management of a catalogue of suitable cost effective 'specials'

To effectively communicate product information, supporting other non-technical areas of the business with your subject matter expertise

Dealing with customer queries regarding pharmaceutical items via our electronic service desk

To communicate effectively with a wide range of personalities and roles including corporate, healthcare and military personnel

To support regulatory activities related to the provision and management of pharmaceutical products

To provide technical advice to assist in the development, and throughout the lifecycle, of various pharmaceutical contracts

To perform tasks that support the commitment to Good Distribution Practice

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:



Current registration as Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)

A minimum of 3 years recent experience in a Pharmaceutical environment. It is advantageous to have previous experience within Defence

Knowledge of broad ranging Human & Veterinary Medicines, and Medical Consumables is advantageous

Knowledge of regulatory activities related to pharmaceuticals

Experience of data management systems

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Must be numerate and have a good command of English both written and verbal

PC skills essential including knowledge of MS Office Suite including Excel

Ability to travel independently (some travel can be anticipated)

The successful candidate will be required go through a Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) Clearance.

Security Clearance Requirement



Candidates must be eligible to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance. This process includes verification of identity, right to work in the UK, employment history, and a basic criminal records check for unspent convictions. Please note that candidates must have resided in the UK for 3 years to meet BPSS eligibility requirements.
