Phoenix Hospital Chelmsford is seeking an experienced and motivated Pharmacy Technician to work as part of our Phoenix Hospital team. Please note: this is a FlexiBank role working on an 'as and when required' basis; you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff during periods of annual leave or absence.
About the
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will support the delivery of a safe, efficient, and high-quality pharmacy service. You will work closely with our Group Chief Pharmacist and wider multidisciplinary teams to ensure the timely supply of medications, maintain accurate records, and assist with stock management in line with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the day-to-day running of the hospital pharmacy service
Dispense medications accurately and in accordance with prescriptions
Assist in stock control, ordering, and inventory management
Comply with all relevant legal, professional, and regulatory requirements
Work collaboratively with clinical teams to support safe and effective patient care
About You:
Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacy Technician
Proven experience in a hospital or healthcare pharmacy setting is desirable
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
A flexible and proactive approach to work
