We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Foston Hall, a

closed category women's Prison and Young Offenders Institution, located in the village of Foston in Derbyshire, England

.





As a GPHC registered pharmacy technician with Practice Plus Group you will become an integral member of pharmacy team, as well as a valued member of the multidisciplinary clinical healthcare team.

Hours



37.5 hours a week - Working hours are 07:00 - 18:00 across 3 days on a rolling rota. One in 4 weekends working 08:00 - 18:30 weekends and some bank holidays.


Salary





This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to 40,211 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing





As a GPhc Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. You will


Provide outstanding quality based patient centred care to our patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them. Focusing on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and ensuring standard operating procedures are followed Administration of medicines through to analysing cost effective prescribing as defined through our unique health in justice medicines policy. Inspire excellence by forging strong links within our teams, our partners and stakeholders Promote best practice, evidence based care and continuous quality improvement embedding a culture of shared learning. Share information relating to pharmaceutical products, medicines optimisation, drug regimes, medicines legislation and general health education so that the multidisciplinary healthcare team are appropriately informed.

Qualifications required




NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD) Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience General GCSE education or equivalent Able to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
