The Pharmacy Technician - Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (ePMA) will be a member of the pharmacy ePMA implementation team, utilising specialist pharmaceutical knowledge, IT and leadership skills to support healthcare staff across different specialities during a period of significant change in moving away from paper-based medicines management processes to digital solutions.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Two posts are fixed term/secondment until 31st March 2028 to meet the needs of the service. If you are interested in applying for the secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post.
Main duties of the job
Be an integral member of the Pharmacy Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (ePMA) team that will implement a newePMA system in the Health Board.
Support the ongoing configuration, implementation and optimisation of the ePMA system.
Deliver training and provide support to pharmacy and multi-disciplinary clinical staff during the implementation phase to ensure the safe and effective use of the ePMA system.
Liaise directly with ePMA end users on queries such as system training requirements and troubleshooting.
Act as a role model for pharmacy staff on all ePMA related activities.
