We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacy Technicians to join our friendly and forward-thinking Primary Care Network (PCN) in the Hounslow area.
You will be part of a growing multidisciplinary team supporting our GP practices to deliver safer, more efficient, and patient-centred use of medicines. The post offers the opportunity to work across several practices, contributing to improved health outcomes for our local population.
Main duties of the job
The Pharmacy Technician will support Structured Medication Reviews (SMRs) under the supervision of a pharmacist or GP, reconcile medicines following hospital discharges or outpatient visits, and provide patients with guidance on the safe and effective use of their medications. They will manage and process repeat prescriptions, conduct medicines audits, and assist with technical and administrative tasks across the practice teams. The role also involves maintaining accurate clinical records and ensuring effective communication within the multidisciplinary team to support high-quality patient care.

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Completed or currently enrolled in an approved training programme meeting the National Competency Framework for Primary Care Pharmacy Technicians (e.g., PCPEP).
  • Demonstrated experience in medicines optimisation, reconciliation, and patient counselling.
  • Good understanding of prescribing processes within primary care.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
