We have an exciting opportunities for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at Heathrow IRC, a Immigration Removal Centre located in West Drayton.
Heathrow IRC combines Colnbrook and Harmondsworth removals centres under one management structure making it the largest immigration removal centre in Europe, with a capacity of 965 residents.
We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician who can dispense and an ACT qualified, you will be working along site 8 other Pharmacy Technician, you will be based within the healthcare department.
Hours:
This is a permanent full time role:

• 37.5 hours
• Monday - Friday
• 8.30am - 4.30pm

Salary:
This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary between 34,125 - 41,475 per annum depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. You will

• Provide outstanding quality based patient centred care to our patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
• Focussing on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and ensuring standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard.
• Deliver non-judgemental care within the scope of professional standards. Involving anything from the timely administration of medicines through to analysing cost effective prescribing as defined through our unique health in justice medicines policy.
• You will make a real difference by working as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

• NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent
• Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
• ACT Qualified
• Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD)

• Able to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
