Role Purpose
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Pharmacy Technician to support our growing Online Doctor service. This remote role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, clinical awareness, and experience in a fast-paced, patient-facing environment. You will play a key role in ensuring safe, effective, and timely delivery of our services, while supporting both clinical and operational functions.
Key Responsibilities
Emergency Contraception:
Conduct clinical assessments for delays in treatment under standing operating procedure, ensuring suitability and timely patient communication and intervention, escalating clinical concerns and ensuring appropriate follow-up.
Medicated Weight Loss (MWL) Support:
Manage patient messages related to MWL treatments, escalating clinical concerns and ensuring appropriate follow-up.
STI Testing Kits:
Coordinate the dispatch of STI kits, reviewing related clinical queries, and ensure timely action, escalating clinical concerns and ensuring appropriate follow-up.
STI Audits:
Support and participate in clinical and operational audits to maintain compliance with governance, safety, and quality standards.
Pharmacy Queries:
Manage pharmacy-related queries from patients and clinicians escalating clinical concerns and ensuring appropriate follow-up.
Customer Service Support:
Respond to service-related queries with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency, ensuring a positive patient experience, escalating clinical concerns and ensuring appropriate follow-up.
Pharmacy Incidents:
Log and assist in the investigation of pharmacy-related incidents, contributing to root cause analysis and quality improvement, escalating clinical concerns and ensuring appropriate follow-up.
GP Letters & Triage:
Coordinate the triage and response process for GP letters, ensuring timely clinical review and appropriate action, escalating clinical concerns and ensuring appropriate follow-up.
Clinical Data Collection:
Collect, maintain, and evaluate clinical and operational data to support monitoring, reporting, and service enhancement.
Clinical Templates:
Assist in the creation and ongoing maintenance of clinical templates to ensure consistency and efficiency in clinical documentation

Patient Complaints:
Support the management and resolution of patient complaints, particularly those related to pharmacy services, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience and Qualifications
Essential:
Registered Pharmacy Technician (GPhC)
Minimum 1 year of post-qualification experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Clinical awareness and confidence in decision-making within scope
Comfortable working independently in a remote setting
High attention to detail and a strong focus on patient safety
Desirable:
Experience in digital healthcare or remote patient services
Familiarity with audit and quality improvement practices
Knowledge of clinical triage pathways
Understanding of data protection (e.g., GDPR) in a healthcare context
