Part-time, 15 hours per week between Monday to Friday 09.00am-17.30pm with contribution to weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis

We're looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join our team at The Wellington Hospital, currently rated "Good" by the CQC. The Wellington covers a number of specialist units including ICU Gynaecology CCU/HDU, Cardia Treatment and digestive Health. Joining this team can give you experience and exposure to these different areas and experts within these fields.


As a key member of the pharmacy team, you will work closely with the technical team, under the guidance of Senior Pharmacy colleagues, to provide high quality, patient focused, operational pharmacy services which consistently meet the needs of all service users across the Wellington Hospital (North, South and Platinum Medical Centre sites) and affiliated services at Golder's Green and Elstree Outpatient Centres. You will contribute to the day to day running of the Pharmacy and will report to the Senior Pharmacy Technician with support from Head Technician and/or Pharmacists.


You will be responsible for working across all aspects of the core pharmacy operations, which may include dispensary, pharmacy procurement, stock control and management, medicines distribution and ward top-up services.



You will play a key role in ensuring the department Key Performance Indicators are met and contribute to the continuous development of the pharmacy service.

What you'll bring:



Strong relationship building skills Registration with GpHC NVQ3 in Pharmacy or BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences or an equivalent pharmacy technician qualification General knowledge of drug therapy Experience of working within a hospital environment (desirable)*
Knowledge of Meditech (desirable) Experience of Omnicell Automated Dispensing Cabinets (desirable)
