Pharmacy Technician

In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the pharmacy operations by ensuring the safe and effective distribution of medications to patients. You will work closely with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Supporting medicines reconciliation post-discharge and after clinical appointments Supporting audits and medication reviews Assisting with long-term condition management protocols Liaising with community pharmacies and other healthcare providers Supporting the clinical team with drug monitoring and prescribing alerts Helping patients understand their medications and promoting adherence

Skills

Previous experience in LTC pharmacy or General Practice settings is highly desirable. Strong understanding of critical care processes and medication administration protocols. Proficiency in patient service techniques to enhance patient interactions. Familiarity with acute care environments and the specific needs of patients within these settings. Ability to perform intake functions accurately and efficiently. Knowledge of aseptic technique practices essential for safe medication preparation. Previous pharmacy technician experience is preferred, along with a solid grasp of medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals.
