Philanthropy Fundraising Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a Philanthropy Assistant to provide administrative, donor stewardship, and event support to the Philanthropy Team, helping to deliver high-quality engagement with supporters, especially regarding major gifts and gifts in Wills.

The role is integral to the success of fundraising campaigns and donor retention, ensuring that all philanthropic activities are carried out efficiently, professionally, and in line with organisational values and compliance standards.

Duties Include:

Supporter Stewardship & Communications



Act as the first point of contact for donor enquiries, including individual giving and gifts in Wills.

Ensure timely and personalised acknowledgement of donations and pledges.

Maintain accurate donor records using CRM systems (e.g. Raiser's Edge/Dynamics), ensuring GDPR compliance.

Assist in the production of donor communications, including thank-you letters, impact reports, and newsletters.

Administrative Support



Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and take minutes for Fundraising Team meetings.

Support the planning and delivery of donor events, including logistics, invitations, and materials.Process donations and liaise with the Finance Team for reconciliation and reporting.

Data & Reporting



Update and manage donor database and FirstClass database, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.

Generate regular reports on donor activity, income tracking, and campaign performance.

Support segmentation and analysis of donor profiles to inform fundraising strategies.

Event Coordination



Help organise awareness and donor cultivation events, and fundraising appeals.

Coordinate logistics, guest communications, and post-event follow-up.

Ideal Candidate will have:



Proven experience in Admin role

Experience of working in fundraising, customer care, relationship management, marketing, or sales

Strong organisational and planning skills

Excellent writing skills

Data-literate

Ability to analyse and interpret data

Commitment to quality and best practice

Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 25,000.00 per year
