Job Overview



We have an excellent job opportunity for a Phlebotomist cum Clinic Receptionist for our clinics in Ashford and Canterbury, Kent. This is a demanding role comprising a wide range of duties. As the first point of contact for our company, the Receptionist plays a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and creating a positive impression for visitors and callers.

The Role



You will use your experience and expertise in the management of facilities for the organisation's benefit, while improving your knowledge and skills, by reporting to the clinic manager/leader. In order to support the daily operations of the Elite, it is necessary to acquire strong procurement, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Duties and Objectives



As a Receptionist,

Provide overall supervision of the clinic and reception area. Organise documentation and equipment for Ultrasound Practitioner/Consultant Radiologist working from the clinic. Ensure all clinical paperwork scanned and uploaded to inhouse systems within required SLAs. Maintain stationary supplies, medical and non-medical to ensure the smooth day to day running of the clinic and administration functions. Meet and greet visitors to the clinic. Triage telephone calls, messages, and emails as appropriate. All voicemails and web chats to be responded to asap. Make efficient use of the in-house systems. General administration with the clinic. Daily/Weekly/Compliance/Security checks as specified in Clinic Reception and administration handbook. Liaise with Management to maintain a safe working environment. Assist with colleagues work during absences. Provide cover for other clinics as and when required. Attend meetings and training sessions as required. Communication and courtesy calls via phone/email with patients during their patient journey. Managing telephone and email enquiries Resolving patients' financial queries and processing payments. Taking and managing client bookings, dealing with confidential information. Processing sales invoices. Setting up new patient accounts. Providing full support to Sonographers performing Ultrasound scans for patients. To undertake the care and reassurance of patients undergoing ultrasound scans in a professional and empathetic manner including acting as a chaperone for any required ultrasound scan. Set up and tidy of clinic room prior to clinic commencement. Collection of patients from waiting room and escorting them into clinic. Adhering to patient confidentiality always and complying with Data Protection. Willingness to undertake any other tasks and duties, which may be delegated from time to time.
As a phlebotomist, you will take blood samples from patients . When taking blood, you have to be careful that you

don't harm the patient don't disturb any nursing care that the patient is receiving take the blood correctly so it can be used for testing label the samples carefully store the blood correctly deliver the samples promptly to the lab

Qualifications, Experience / Personal Specification



As a Receptionist, you'll need

Good and required standard of Education. Strong communication and organisational skills. Ability to learn new systems. Strong computer and processing skills. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Word & Excel. Attention to detail. Able to work well individually and as part of a team. Well organised with a methodical approach to work Able to work to deadlines. Ability to be sympathetic and empathetic. Seeks constant improvement in own performance. Team player, punctual, good attendance levels. Ability to work on own initiative and to problem solve. To remain calm under pressure.
As a phlebotomist, you'll need:

to be caring and kind willing to be hands-on with patients to be able to put patients at ease - they might feel anxious about giving blood able to follow instructions and procedures able to work in a team but use your own initiative able to explain procedures to patients, careful and methodical Minimum 2years experience in clinical settings.
The post holder must maintain the confidentiality of information about patients, clients, staff.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temp to perm, Zero hours contract

Pay: 15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 22.5 - 37.5 per week
