Phlebotomist

Faringdon, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Are you a phlebotomist looking for part time work?

We're opening a new clinic in Faringdon and need a practitioner to work there, as well as to cover occasional shifts at our main clinic in Swindon.

We are looking for a phlebotomist to work two to four shifts per week with at least two in the morning, supporting our blood draw, vitamin booster, and health testing services. Since launching these at our Swindon clinic in early-2022, we have seen strong demand for these services. We're now offer one of the only CQC-registered private blood draw services in the area.

We partner with test providers such as Medichecks and our Faringdon clinic will become their nearest clinic to Oxford.

About you

You'll be trained, or willing to train, and fully insured in administration of vitamin B12, C and D, as well as taking blood.

You'll have good experience of taking blood, including working with "hard to bleed" patients.

You'll have strong ability to build rapport with patients and prospective patients, providing them with clear information and advice about their symptoms and the services we can offer them.

You'll have an excellent understanding of clinical governance standards and procedures to ensure patients are treated consistently with our values and applicable standards.

You'll be a team player, who is willing to use their time around patients to support the admin team on reception, ordering stock, following up on patient queries and proactively seeking tasks in the clinic.

About the role

This is a part time role at our Faringdon clinic, with occasional shifts to cover in Swindon. Exact hours to be agreed during the interview stage.

You'll be responsible for providing information to patients about our products and services.

You'll be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety and compliance of our phlebotomy services.

You'll work with our prescribers and suppliers to ensure we maintain sufficient stock levels to meet patient needs, while ensuring costs are managed.

During quieter periods, you'll support our administrative team.

As our blood draw service expands, the available hours may increase.
