Phlebotomist / Medical Assistant
to join our growing team. You will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care, supporting both clinical procedures and day-to-day operational needs. This is a varied and rewarding role within a private healthcare setting, working closely with individuals managing complex and chronic health conditions. We are looking for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent patient communication skills, and a proactive approach to supporting clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities
Perform
venepuncture
and assist with
cannulation
for IV therapies and diagnostic testing.
Support clinicians during
patient examinations and medical procedures
, maintaining strict aseptic technique.
Record
vital signs
, take
medical histories
, and prepare patients for treatment.
Deliver
friendly, calm support to paediatric and vulnerable adult patients
, helping ease anxiety during visits.
Ensure all
patient records
are accurately documented and securely maintained.
Support with
basic life support
procedures in emergency situations.
Carry out administrative tasks including
appointment scheduling
,
patient communication
, and
stock management
.
Uphold clinic
infection control protocols
, safety procedures, and confidentiality standards at all times.
Experience & Skills Required
Previous experience in a clinical or private healthcare setting preferred.
Proven competency in
phlebotomy
; experience with
cannulation
is desirable.
Confident understanding of
anatomy
,
physiology
, and
medical terminology
.
Able to demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and discretion with all patients.
Comfortable working independently and as part of a
multidisciplinary team
.
Must be organised, proactive, and committed to delivering high standards of care.
JOB IS SELF EMPLOYED- FOR 1-3 DAYS A WEEK, STARTING AT 12.21 AN HOUR. 3 DAYS A WEEK AVAILIBILTY IS REQUIRED.
