Are you ready to make a significant impact in high-performance sport? The University of Edinburgh is seeking a Physical Preparation Coach to join our team.


We're looking for a proactive and knowledgeable individual with a strong background in physical preparation or strength and conditioning. You should bring a collaborative mindset and a passion for helping athletes achieve their best.



The Opportunity:



This is a unique opportunity to join the University of Edinburgh's dynamic physical preparation team, working closely with a world-class physiotherapy department and some of the UK's leading technical coaches within a high-performance university sport environment. You'll support elite student-athletes as they prepare for international competitions, World Championships, and major games, contributing to a progressive and forward-thinking performance culture. The role offers access to cutting-edge equipment and technology, including the full VALD performance suite, Output Sports, PlayerData GPS, and Lumin Sports software, providing the tools and environment to deliver high-quality physical preparation support.



Your skills and attributes for success:



Educated to Degree Level or equivalent, ideally in sports science or related area specialising in physical preparation of elite athletes. Experience in the provision of physical preparation support to international standard athletes. UKSCA: ASCC, NSCA: CSCS, ASCA: Lv2 or Equivalent (Or ability to attain within 12 months). Enthusiasm to develop and keep up to date with current research and training methods related to physical preparation.
