Position: Physiotherapist

Location:

Billingshurst, West Sussex

Salary:

18,800 - 24,000 (term-time only salary)

Contract:

Full-time, permanent

About the Role

We're recruiting for a skilled and dedicated Physiotherapist to join a specialist multi-disciplinary team that supports young adults with complex physical and learning needs. This is an exciting and highly rewarding opportunity to help young people prepare for adulthood by delivering individualised, outcomes-focused therapy as part of an intensive education, health, and care pathway.

This role would suit a motivated physiotherapist with a strong background in neuromusculoskeletal (NMSK) or neuro-physio practice, ideally with experience supporting individuals with physical and cognitive challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support young adults transitioning into adulthood through personalised health and care pathways. Undertake highly specialised physiotherapy assessments and treatments, managing a caseload of students with complex conditions. Develop and implement treatment plans that focus on enabling students to meet ambitious goals - ranging from pain management and increased mobility to improving functional independence. Provide both direct interventions and delegate support responsibilities to therapy assistants and wider staff teams. Plan and oversee hydrotherapy sessions (currently delivered off-site). Deliver training to education and support staff to embed therapy practices throughout the student experience. Liaise with external agencies such as orthotics providers and neuro-rehabilitation consultants as part of a collaborative care model. Monitor and evaluate progress, review goals regularly, and adapt therapy input to meet evolving needs. Ensure high standards of clinical documentation in line with professional and regulatory requirements. Take responsibility for equipment safety, servicing schedules, and relevant risk assessments.

Ideal Candidate

HCPC-registered Physiotherapist with a recognised qualification in physiotherapy. Experience working with children or young adults with complex needs is highly desirable. Skilled in collaborative, person-centred planning and multi-agency working. Confident in delivering training and supporting non-clinical staff in therapeutic approaches. Knowledge of EHCP processes and transitioning from children's to adult services is advantageous.

Why Apply?

Opportunity to work in a values-led, student-focused environment. Be part of a dynamic and highly supportive multi-disciplinary team. Make a measurable difference in the lives of young people as they move towards greater independence. * Term-time schedule and structured working environment.
