An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and creative Band 5 Physiotherapist to join the Newquay Therapy In-patient Team



We are looking for a flexible, reliable person who enjoys working as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team.



The community post will involve working mainly on the ward within the wider MDT but may also include community visits to follow those patients up in the community



You will be working with a complex and varied caseload, covering a wide variety of conditions including, orthopaedics, MS, MND, Parkinson's, amputees, falls and frailty.



You will be very well supported by our experienced and highly skilled team of Band 6 and 7 therapists and nurses across all teams, with opportunities for joint work and shadowing more specialist services, attending our monthly in service training. We fully encourage and support training for further development identified in regular supervision and appraisals.



We are hoping this will form part of a wider Band 5 rotational scheme in the future - aiming to start with North Kerrier Community Rehab Team

Assessing new patients on the inpatient unit and possibly in the patient's homes including residential and nursing homes. Setting treatment goals and following out treatment plans. Discharge planning collaborating closely with the OT team Liaising with the wider multidisciplinary team to enable the patient to reach their goals

Essential criteria

Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy HCPC Registered IELTS unless qualification taken in English Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team and an understanding of roles
