An exciting opportunity is available to join our Prehabilitation Team as a Band 7 Physiotherapist for a 14-month fixed term contract.
The Prehab Team is a well established and nationally recognised therapy led service for patients undergoing preparation for major surgery and cancer treatments.
Working closely with other Prehab AHP's and the wider MDT of Surgeons, anaesthetists and specialist nurses, you will be required to lead on and complete specialist assessments for individuals in clinics across sites (both in face to face and virtual settings), support group-based programmes and support public health initiatives and behaviour change. This role offers the opportunity to blend physical, nutritional and wellbeing intervention; therefore, it is desirable that the successful candidate be able to demonstrate experience across these areas.
As well as clinical experience this candidate requires excellent skills in communication, change management and time management. Eligible candidates will have the opportunity to lead informing national policy and be at the forefront of developments in prehabilitation, both nationally and internationally. The successful candidate will therefore be required to be forward thinking in their approach and active in forming relationships and networking with other clinicians internally and externally to the Trust.
