We're a busy, client-focused massage studio in Reading with a strong local reputation. We're expanding our services and are looking for an experienced, friendly
MSK Physiotherapist
to join us on a self-employed basis and deliver exceptional care to our clients.
The Role
As an Associate Physiotherapist, you'll assess and treat a range of MSK conditions and help clients return to pain-free movement through evidence-based treatment and rehabilitation.
This is a
pay-per-booking
role: you're paid when clients book and attend. We provide the space, equipment, and marketing to help keep your diary moving.
Key Responsibilities
Complete high-quality
MSK assessments
(subjective + objective)
Provide appropriate treatment:
manual therapy, exercise rehab, education, advice
Create clear rehab plans and review progress using outcomes where appropriate
Maintain accurate
clinical notes
and ensure confidentiality (GDPR compliant)
Deliver excellent client experience: communication, follow-ups, and continuity of care
Work collaboratively alongside our massage team (cross-referrals where suitable)
Operate safely and professionally, including consent and safeguarding procedures

Treatment room in our Reading studio
Equipment (treatment couch and standard clinic essentials; rehab kit if available)
Marketing support (website/social media/local promotions)
Client bookings (where applicable) and reception-style process (if you have one)

What You Provide
Your professional physiotherapy service and clinical expertise
Your own HCPC registration and up-to-date clinical practice
Indemnity insurance suitable for private/self-employed work
Reliable availability and a professional, warm client manner
Ability to work independently and manage your clinical standards
Essential Requirements
Degree in Physiotherapy (BSc/MSc or equivalent)
HCPC registered Physiotherapist
Strong MSK assessment and treatment skills
Excellent communication and client-centred approach
Ability to maintain high standards of documentation and professionalism
Desirable (Nice to Have)
Experience in private MSK practice
Additional skills (e.g., sports massage, acupuncture/dry needling, Pilates, S&C)
Interest in a niche (runners, gym-goers, persistent pain, workplace MSK)
Pay & Structure
Self-employed associate position
Paid only when clients book/attend (commission/fee-split model)
No salary or guaranteed hours
You're responsible for your own tax/NI, insurance, and HCPC/CSP fees
