Watt Health - Private multidisciplinary health care clinic in Southampton.

We are looking for a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist for a 12 month Maternity cover, an option to continue post temporary contract would be available (subject to performance).

The Physiotherapist will be working alongside our existing Healthcare Professionals in our new large healthcare clinic in Sarisbury Green, Southampton.

Watt Health is a progressive private healthcare clinic providing an array of services including Chiropractic and Physiotherapy care, Sports Massage, Clinical Pilates, diagnostic ultrasound, shockwave therapy and Medical Acupuncture.

Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist

Sarisbury Green Clinic:

Watt Health Ltd, 168a Bridge Road, Southampton, SO31 7EH

Shifts available on: Monday, Wednesday & Fridays between 09:00 - 18:30 from September 2025 as part of a six month maternity cover with potential for a permanent role.

Clinical hours, days and shifts are negotiable and flexible upon request and availability.

Job Role:

To be part of a progressive, multidisciplinary private Healthcare Clinic promoting the health and well being of the general public. Your aim would be to assist our Principal Physiotherapist and Chiropractor to provide superior musculoskeletal physiotherapy and rehabilitation. This would include management and recovery for sports injuries, maintenance, prevention and recovery for our elite and amateur athletes, to help with post-operative recovery and maintain the health and wellbeing of the general public.

You will be required to provide superior assessment, treatment and goal management services along with delivery of hands-on therapeutic techniques and execute rehabilitation exercises. You will be expected to work safely and identify when issues and pathologies are out of scope and require inter-referrals to GP, Imaging and allied healthcare professionals at Watt Health.

Job Specification

Minimum Band 5 Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist

HCPC Registration

CSP Member +/- Insurance provider and Public Liability Insurance

Self - Employed

At least 1 year's hands-on experience post qualification

Excellent communication skills and patient centered approach

Able to take a thorough subjective history, objective examination and patient record keeping

Provide hands-on therapeutic skills

Provide exercise prescription and rehabilitation

Knowledge and experience in Sports Injuries and rehabilitation based on healing timeframes

Able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and independently

Maintain a professional and clean clinical area

Unremarkable DBS check

Basic First Aid training

Preferrable (but not essential)

Completed a static musculoskeletal rotation

Worked alongside athletes, sports team or in a sporting environment, managing sports injuries

Previously completed lone working or part of a private healthcare clinic

Sports Massage Qualification

Sports injury knowledge and management experience

Acupuncture / Medical Acupuncture / Dry Needling Qualification

Additional specialties; Women's Health, Rheumatology, Pilates, Ante-Post Natal etc

Undertaken additional Therapeutic techniques and courses e.g IASTM, Graston, Applied Cupping Therapy, Sports Taping.

Confident on a laptop to provide electronic clinical notes and booking systems

Job Responsibilities:

Competitive rates of pay will be discussed at Interview. This will be on a self-employed basis and a percentage of revenue generated per patient seen, ranging between 28-50 per hour which will be paid monthly.
