INTERNAL CFT VACANCY

Due to existing therapy support members reducing hours , an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Physiotherapy Support Worker to join our team on a permanent contract .



This is a fantastic opportunity for someone wanting to develop their skills in physiotherapy The successful candidate will be working with experienced professionals as part of an integrated multidisciplinary team; support and training will be given in the role to help you reach your full potential, but previous therapy experience is preferred due to this post being a job share . The majority of the inpatient group are frail elderly so an interest in care of the elderly would be beneficial.



The post is a part time post:-19 hours per week, Monday - Friday.

Main duties of the job

Under the guidance of a registered physiotherapist, the post holder will be expected to:


Use specialist skills to plan and provide a flexible, client-centred programme of therapeutic activities for individuals who have a physical/cognitive impairment. Contribute to the assessment and treatment of clients . work closely with Occupational Therapy colleagues and extended MDT members

To manage patients allocated by therapists in Inpatient setting.

Education and Qualiications

Essential criteria

Good general education up to GCSE or equivalent. NVQ level 3 qualification in therapy/care or equivalent. Examinations taken in English Language, or IELTS qualification

Experience

Essential criteria

Experience of working in a care environment. Experience of working with elderly or injured/disabled people. Experience of working with a therapy led approach. Previous work in a hospital setting. Computer Skills to include Microsoft packages #
